North Carolina Chapter Attends REVCO Joint Regional Meetings

The North Carolina Chapter of the Appraisal Institute was well represented at the recent REVCO joint regional meeting, with Kelli Mayhew, MAI, SRA; Erica Butler, MAI; Greyson Morgan, MAI; and Keith Bolte, MAI, AI-GRS in attendance. The meeting brought together professionals from multiple regions to collaborate, share insights, and discuss key developments shaping the appraisal profession.

Highlights from the Joint Regional Meeting included:

  • National Committee Overview: An introduction to the structure and current initiatives of the Appraisal Institute’s national committees.
  • Bank Appraisal Review Panel: A valuable session featuring institutional perspectives on appraisal review practices and expectations.
  • Update from Interim CEO John Udelhofen: An organizational update highlighting leadership priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Appraisal Standards Board Update: A detailed review of recent and upcoming changes to appraisal standards impacting practitioners nationwide.
  • Economic and Real Estate Market Outlook from CoStar: An informative presentation covering current trends and market influences affecting property valuation.

Region V Breakout Session Recap:
During the Region V breakout meeting, each chapter delivered Q1 updates, sharing progress, upcoming initiatives, and local market insights. This exchange encouraged collaboration and alignment across chapters. The session also welcomed members of the Appraisal Institute Executive Committee, who provided valuable commentary on current legislative affairs, including advocacy efforts and regulatory updates that affect appraisers at both the state and national levels. They also addressed the recent 45-Day Notice, offering context and clarification regarding proposed changes and their potential impact on members and the profession. Kelli Kline Mayhew, MAI, SRA, was affirmed as Third Director for Region V by vote of the regional representatives.

The REVCO meeting served as a strong platform for professional engagement, highlighting the value of regional cooperation and the importance of staying current with legislative, economic, and organizational developments.
