The Chapter Secretary shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Chapter Board of Directors or the Chapter President.

In the NC Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the Chapter Secretary will take minutes for the Board of Directors and Chapter Business Meetings in conjunction with the Executive Director. He/She will then prepare them using the AI format that is shown in the most recent Chapter Operations Manual provided by National.  After which, the minutes will be uploaded to the Chapter Minimum Chapter Criteria (MCC) page as per AI’s rules of submitting to the CEO, etc. within 30 days of approval.

In the NC Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the Chapter Secretary will keep a running, dated list of policies as they are enacted by any governing body of the chapter. At the earlier of either the policy’s stated expiration or one-year anniversary dates, the policy is to be reviewed for further action by the enacting body at the next regular meeting under old business. A copy of policies should also be provided to the Bylaws Chair and Executive Director.
