On behalf of the North Carolina Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, we are pleased to invite you to join us for the 4th Quarter Chapter Business Meeting & the J. Scott Robinson Installation Ceremony on December 11th at Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville, NC!
We can’t wait to welcome in the holiday season together, close out 2025, and share what we have planned for 2026. However, we can’t say goodbye to 2025 without recognizing some of the Chapter’s best pioneers and leaders, as well as the best forward thinking and innovative members. In January of this year, the Executive Committee voted to create three awards that would allow us to highlight these members’ best attributes. The three awards to be handed out are:
NCAI Leadership Award
This prestigious award honors an individual or group whose dedication to the chapter over the preceding five years has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the long-term success of the organization. Qualifying activities may include, but are not limited to, chairing or serving on committees, holding a position on the Board of Directors, serving as an executive officer or regional representative, teaching for the chapter (with or without CE credit), securing significant sponsorships, engaging in legislative or advocacy efforts, building collaborative relationships with other organizations, and representing the chapter at professional events. The recipient should have consistently contributed to the advancement and support of the chapter’s mission.
NCAI Impact Award
This award is presented to an individual whose service at the regional or national level of the Appraisal Institute (or other related professional organizations) has had a transformative and measurable impact on the profession and North Carolina appraisers. This award recognizes those who have used national and regional platforms to push the profession forward, create new opportunities, foster meaningful dialogues, contribute to the body of knowledge, or inspire significant change. Serving in leadership roles such as a national committee chair or board member is beneficial but not required. This award is intended to be highly competitive and should be awarded only when there is clear, transformative impact.
NCAI Innovator’s Award
This award recognizes the individual or group who has introduced and successfully executed the most innovative idea or initiative for the chapter in the past year. This may include developing a new event, identifying, and pursuing new opportunities for the chapter, restructuring or creating committees that address specific needs, generating new sources of revenue, increasing recognition and public relations efforts, or improving member engagement. The recipient should have demonstrated creativity and initiative in driving the chapter’s success through innovation.
Event Details
We have some great speakers and events planned for the evening. NCAI is excited to announce that the 2025 Appraisal Institute President, Ms. Paula Konikoff, will be joining us to share the good things happening at national and to install our new officers.
In addition to Ms. Konikoff, Mr. Jon Hardister, former NC House Majority Whip and NCAI’s current lobbyist, will be there to greet everyone and introduce Representative Tim Reeder, NC House Deputy Majority Whip. Dr. Reeder, who represents Pitt County, District 9, will be updating us on legislative affairs and discussing how we can interact effectively with the NC General Assembly.
NCAI will also be highlighting our most recent designated member, Mr. David Ivey, MAI. Again, we look forward to enjoying dinner and drinks in great company! We’d also recommend bringing the sticks as the golf course is ranked #4 in Eastern NC by Business North Carolina. See you there!
