Thank you to everyone who came out to the Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown last Thursday for NCAI's Q3 Chapter Business Meeting. We had a great meeting and we got a lot accomplished: we discussed chapter news and events, we recognized industry achievement, we connected with old friends and industry peers, and we enjoyed a presentation by an outstanding local leader!

(L-R): Real Estate Valuation Conference Committee Residential Chair Nathan Pippin, SRA; Government Relations Committee Chair Shep Overton, MAI; President Kelli Mayhew, MAI, SRA; Treasurer Brian Crowder, MAI, SRA; and Women’s Initiative Committee Chair Linda Nelson
Before we started with chapter business, Vic Isley, President & CEO of Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority, shared the many wonders of Asheville with us and highlighted how communities like Asheville benefit, economically, from exploration and travel.

Vic Isley, President & CEO of Explore Asheville shares her thoughts on the economic impact of tourism.
During this year's Q3 meeting, members and guests received an update on what's in store for the chapter for the rest of the year. We also took a moment to recognize new members and our recent AI designee: Brent Koenig, MAI, AI-GRS.

(L-R): Brent Koenig, MAI, AI-GRS, is presented with a designation by NCAI President Elect Greyson Morgan, MAI.
Some attendees stayed over and participated in our Business Practices and Ethics continuing education session on Friday. Led by John Bosworth, MAI, SRA, of Valbridge Property Advisors, students learned about standards and ethics requirements for valuers in general and, more specifically, for valuers who belong to the Appraisal Institute. Thank you to everyone who attended this essential appraisal course.
